Objectivist Theatre Company

in New York, is the brainchild of Sarah Zimmitti. Last night I saw their first production, Night of January 16th. Sarah played the heroine, Karen Andre, and I cannot tell you what a pleasure it was to FINALLY hear an actress put some moral fire into the pro-selfishness lines! The reason she was able to do it, of course, was that she BELIEVED it.

The play was put on in an intimate space provided by the Objectivist Community Center, a fascinating start-up group which is led by Craig Milem. Craig, who recently ran for New York City councilman, has a background in economics and finance. He has been giving lectures on Objectivism, and holding meetings to read and discuss various intellectual works.

Both Sarah and Craig are extremely energetic, entrepreneurial, and enthusiastic. I had a great time visiting with them.
