The story of writing a story

Stephen Boydstun can't make it to the 8/7 NIF meeting, so I have to do some talking instead. My friend Don Parrish suggested I explain how my novel come into being. Actually, that's an interesting story, and I don't think I've ever really told it to anyone, not even my wife. I'm trying to remember the fundamental turning points so I can tell them to people.

NIF's an Objectivist-oriented group, so I should relate the book to Objectivism. I'm not sure that the book actually comes across as Objectivist. I would actually appreciate some feedback on that! In fact, however, the book partly grows out of some things that went on in the world of Objectivism. Of course, when I worked it into a story, I goosed up the level of tension by making everything a matter of literal life or death.

Rhyme of the day:

Take the thematic
And make it dramatic.
