Manchurian Candidate

I saw it last night and liked it. It's a remake of a classic 1962 movie, but updated to have a contemporary feel. It's a political thriller with science fiction mind-control elements. Meryl Streep gives a breathtakingly scary performance as a U.S. Senator from New York.

My main complaint is that this is yet another evil-corporation movie. There is some evil done in the world by corporations, but nothing like you would think from watching movies. Businessmen get a bad rap, but actually they improve the world in amazing ways.
