There is a part of me that likes the challenge of doing the impossible and all that. It's too bad when no one knows that you are doing the impossible, because they don't really understand what is involved in writing code, and they don't know what is hard and what is easy.
The hardest part, always, is thinking the problem through. Usually there are a lot of ways to solve a problem, and the big trick is picking out the best one, and getting it clear in your mind. I find this is the part that is most susceptible to being damaged by interruption.
Anyway, when the dust settles, I hope everything works. So far so good.
