Maybe that will change. Scratch that. Surely that will change before the clock strikes midnight.

By the way, when I was a kid, there was no such thing as 12:00 a.m. There was 12:01 a.m., which was just after midnight. But in the 12:00 department all there could be was 12:00 Noon and 12:00 Midnight.

My father still insists there is no such thing as 12:00 a.m. But I have caved in. Time, and language, marches on.

After "Twelve" is verbal mayhem.
