My son and daughter are both home from their bicoastal studies. My son, who is living in LA, was kind of startled by the Chicago weather that greeted him: rain combined with snow, both propelled by a fierce wind. It's amazing how quickly living in SoCal causes amnesia about what real (brrr) weather is like.

Roger Donway has a stellar article up on what we should really be thankful for, and David Kelley has a typically insightful review of the semi-Randian animated hit of the season - The Incredibles.  Among many other things, I am thankful for their articles!

I'm also thankful for a couple of appreciative emails I received the other day about my book, Unholy Quest.  One was from a friend, who was very enthusiastic, and the other was from my sister, who said she thought she detected a Rand influence in the book's central romantic relationship.  I suppose she's right.
